Welcome to our lab.

We are a new experimental atomic and molecular physics group in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of California, Riverside. Our research focusses on control and manipulation of complex quantum systems at the single quantum level. Examples of systems which offer this level of control are cold molecules and molecular ions.

In our lab, we develop experiments and techniques to laser cool diatomic and polyatomic molecules with the ultimate goal to produce a sample of ultracold molecules.

Ultracold molecules will allow for applications ranging from search for novel physics, studies of many-body physics and steering of the outcome of chemical reactions to novel quantum information architectures.
